Patna, July 3: A fire started in the engine of a DMU train close to Bhelwa railway station on Sunday. The origin of the fire is yet unknown, as the train was travelling from Raxaul to Narkatiaganj.
Initial reports state that all passengers are safe and that the engine fire did not spread to other coaches. The situation is now under control.
“AT 5.25 am, SM Bhelwa reported fire. All passengers have de-boarded the train and safe, no injury, no casualties reported, the fire brigade arrived at the site at 6:06 am,” news agency ANI quoted the Railway as saying.
