New Delhi, Jan 8: A journalist was injured during a shooting incident on Saturday in Maharajganj, Bihar’s Siwan district. Rajesh Anal, a journalist, was struck in the left thigh and waist by the gunshots that two offenders fired.
Later, he was checked into Siwan Sadar Medical Center. His health is still critical, say the doctors. Shailesh Kumar Sinha, the superintendent of police, arrived at the scene quickly after learning about the situation.
“We are investigating the case. Whoever is involved in it will be arrested soon,” Sinha said.
The event happened at K Mohan Bazar in Maharajganj, Siwan district while Rajesh Anal was going home after closing his store. Two criminals on a bike passed him and fired at him before escaping. Locals brought him to the hospital.
Notably, Rajesh Anal has already experienced two assaults. He was stabbed earlier this year in Maharajganj during the renowned Moniya Baba Mela. After this incident, there has been a commotion in the neighbourhood.
Further information is awaited.
