Gaya, Sept 27: Unidentified assailants on a bike shot and killed Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Anwar Khan in broad daylight in Bihar’s Gaya. Anwar Khan belongs to the faction led by Pashupati Kumar Paras.

Anwar Khan, state president of the LJP’s labour cell, was at a salon on Wednesday when three unidentified assailants on a bike opened fire, instantly killing him.

People in the region fled in fright as a result of the occurrence, and several closed their shops.

Furious residents and Khan’s family staged a protest by blocking National Highway 82 after the incident.

“Police forces have been deployed at the scene and a forensic team has been sent to gather evidence. An investigation is underway,” a senior police official said.
