Patna, March 24: A day after all three Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) MLAs joined the BJP, Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) chairman Mukesh Sahani on Thursday, refused to quit as a Bihar cabinet minister, saying that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar must make the decision and that he will follow his orders.

VIP is a member of the BJP-led Janata Dal (United) cabinet in Bihar, which is led by Nitish Kumar. The VIP head told a press conference in Patna that his political life has been full of struggle and that he is prepared to fight until his last breath.

“My good wishes are with those 3 MLAs who were with us till yesterday and have joined another party (BJP) now… Our 3 MLAs made their total to 77 MLAs, they became the number 1 party of Bihar, I congratulate them,” said Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahani.

“Sanjay Jaiswal, state’s BJP president has lied a lot… I’ve been struggling since I was 18 yrs of age… I knew that anything can happen in this fight… people took the decision they wanted to make, I’ll keep working for the people,” he added.

When asked about his resignation from the ministerial post, the VIP chief said that his resignation is the prerogative of CM Nitish Kumar, so he will do as he says.

“CM Nitish Kumar has to decide who will be a minister in his government. Remove me if you want,” he said.
