Bike-container collision kills two youths in Giridih

Dhanbad, Dec 15: Two youths were killed in a head-on bike- container collision near Narayanpur under Pirtand police station, around 25 km away from Giridih district headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.

Pirtand police station officials informed that both the bike riders died on the spot. The container driver fled away from the spot with his vehicle. After getting information, the police reached the spot and took both the bodies into possession.

The deceased were identified as Suresh Sab and Mangaru Mahto, residents of Roshansingh village of Nimiaghat police station. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem at Giridih Sadar hospital.

Official sources informed that both the youths were in the Mohanpur jail of Giridih for the last one and half years and were returning to their village Roshansingh by bike in the afternoon at around 1.30 pm when their vehicle collided with the container that was coming from the opposite side.

The search for the container and its driver by the Pirtand police is on.
