Ranchi, Sept 2: The Birsa Agricultural University has invited applications for 70 posts in 16 Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Notably, it is after 2004 that the University has taken out this large number of vacancies.
As per PRO Pankaj Vatsal, 27 posts for Subject Matter Specialist, six posts for Farm Manager, five posts for Programme Assistant (Lab Technician), 16 posts for Programme Assistant (Computer), and 16 posts for Assistants are vacant at the university.
He said, “The salary for these posts will range from Rs 9300 – Rs 34800. On the other hand, the grade pay will be Rs 4200. Interested candidates may fill up the applications by September 28 through registry or speed post.”
The application fee for General Category, BC I, BC II, and EWS candidates will be Rs 500 and for SC/ST candidates the application fee will be Rs 250 for the forms for Farm Manager and Lab Technician.
“The 27 posts for Subject Matter Specialist include eight posts of Agriculture Extension, two posts of AgroForestry, one post of Animal Husbandry, two posts of Fishery, five posts of Home Science, four posts of Horticulture, one post of Plant Breeding and Genetics and four posts of Plant Protection. Their pay scale will be Rs 15600 – Rs 39100 and grade pay will be Rs 5400,” added the PRO.
The application fee for this post will be Rs 1000 for General, BC I, BC II, EWS and Rs 500 for SC/ST.
According to the notification issued by the university, the appointment is temporary, however, the probation period of two years has been fixed for the appointed candidates. This post will be under the KVK scheme. Those candidates who are in service, can forward the application to their employer and send it.
The maximum age limit of the candidates under the technical positions is 35 years for general, 37 years for BC/EBC, 38 years for females, 40 years for SC/ST and 35 years for EWS as on August 1, 2018.
