Ranchi, Dec. 27: Amity University Jharkhand in association with Pandit Chandra Kumar Mallick Memorial Charitable Trust organized ‘Birsa Munda Music & Dance Festival’ on 25th and 26th Dec 2021.

A saying by Wendell Pierce goes like ‘the role of culture is that it’s the form through which we as a society reflect on who we are, where we’ve been, where we hope to be’. This was well depicted on the second day of the Birsa Munda Music & Dance Festival organized by Amity University Jharkhand

The dignitaries who graced the occasion with their presence were Prof. (Dr) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Prof (Dr) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand and Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand.

The second day of the event started with a welcome song by Tamal Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, and Amity University Jharkhand. The other major attractions of the second day were Classical Vocal by Kumar Kaushik, Instrumental Performance (Sitar) by Dev Priya Thakur, and Instrumental Performance (Pakhawaj) by Raj Kumar Jha.

Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar of Amity University Jharkhand welcomed all the guests and sought blessings of the Founder President Ashok Kumar Chauhan.

“Culture is the mother of the entire Ethos and it is not only depicted through the cuisine or dress but also well portrayed through dance and music, and we feel proud to promote our Indian culture on this auspicious occasion,” he said.

The music and dance festival ended on a successful note with mesmerising classical music and also made everyone proud of the rich cultural heritage that belongs to India.
