BIT Sindri alumni motivate new batch in induction programme

Dhanbad, Sept 14: Renowned alumni of BIT Sindri, holding coveted posts in the country, motivated and shared their experiences with the newly enrolled  2023 batch students of the institution on the third day of the induction programme which concluded on Thursday.

Sweta Kumari (1990 batch BIT Sindri Sindri alumnus), DIG land revenue and registration, Jharkhand government while delivering a guest lecture shared her valuable insights on the importance of soft skills.

She while addressing the new comers shed light on the role of human values and SWOT Analysis in nurturing curiosity and out of box thinking.

SWOT analysis is a strategic planning and strategic management technique used to help a person or organization identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to business, competition or project planning.

Another alumnus  Chitranjan Kumar,  general manager (GM) at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) encouraged the students to pursue their passion while keeping the importance of discipline and communication skills in mind.

Earlier the event began with an introduction speech by Prof. RK Verma, the general warden of BIT Sindri.

Dr. Swati Tomar, a member of the induction committee formally introduced Sweta Kumari who shed light on her remarkable achievements and accomplishments.

The auditorium was graced by Prof. Pankaj Rai, director of BIT Sindri, Prof. R.K. Verma and Prof. Ravi Shankar Prasad. Prof. Sumanto Mandal proposed the vote of thanks.

The director, Prof. Pankaj Rai presented mementoes to Sweta Kumari and Chitaranjan Kumar, acknowledging their contribution to the orientation programme’s success.
