Bitcoin, Ether dip in international market; drag other major cyptos

Mumbai, Feb18: Bitcoin prices fell 5.71 percent on Friday after the crypto kingdom’s ruling monarch had been posting increases for the previous few days.

On the Indian market CoinSwitch Kuber, BTC is currently trading at $43,287 (approximately Rs. 32.5 lakh).

On international markets, the crypto currency suffered even greater losses of up to 7.17 percent. Bitcoin, for example, is currently trading at $40,652 (approximately Rs. 30.5 lakh) on Binance, down over 7% in value. The losses in Bitcoin had a cascading effect on the rest of the crypto market.

Ether’s value has dropped by 4.08 percent to $3,105 (approximately Rs. 23,000). In line with Bitcoin’s performance, ETH saw greater losses on international markets.

On CoinMarketCap, the altcoin fell 5.83 percent to $2,900 (approximately Rs. 2.15 lakh) and 4.79 percent to $3,053 (about Rs. 2 lakh) on Indian platforms like CoinDCX.

A slew of other altcoins debuted with significant losses as well.

Binance Coin, Ripple, Cardano, Solana, Terra, and Avalanche all lost three to seven percent of their value.

Both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu’s gain-spells were broken today, as both meme coins opened with dents.

While the price of DOGE fell 3.59 percent to $0.15 (approximately Rs. 11), the price of SHIB fell 5.44 percent to $0.000031. (roughly Rs. 0.002326).

Tether, USD Coin, Neo, and Binance USD are the only altcoins which saw minor profits.
