Ranchi, April 11: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash asked the state government to shun ‘politics of appeasement’ saying it has boosted the morale of anti-social elements and they dare to attack Ram Navami procession.
Holding the ruling party leaders and the state government responsible for all communal violence in the state during Ram Navami, he said ‘Lohardaga incident has exposed the poor intelligence network of police.’
The senior BJP leader, on the occasion, also raised doubt over the state government’s efficiency in managing the disaster saying tourism minister Hafizul Hassan and the chief minister remained helpless for 24 hours and the rescue work could start after the BJP government sitting in the centre took serious note of the incident.
Prakash, while talking about appeasement policy and poor disaster management, also attacked the state government for announcing the Panchayat election without the Triple Test Committee report. He said Congress, which is an allied partner of the state government, maintains a double standard on the issue.
“The state, where Congress is ruling, Panchayat election is allowed without a triple test but where the government is in opposition it is opposing Panchayat election without triple test,” he said presenting the example of Madhya Pradesh, the BJP-ruled state, and Maharashtra and Jharkhand, two Congress and UPA-ruled states.
