Ranchi, June 6: BJP candidate for Mandar by-poll Gangotri Kujur today filed her nomination papers on the last date of filing nomination.
Those accompanied her included BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi, Ajsu chief Sudesh Mahto and BJP state president Deepak Prakash besides other senior leaders of the BJP.
Kujur appeared confident about her victory in the election after she returned filing nomination papers.
“I will contest election on the issue of development which remained very poor during the UPA rule. I hope people of the constituency will realize the situation and extend their whole-hearted support to me as they had earlier chosen me as their representative,” Kujur said.
Ajsu chief Mahto supported her saying his party has not given any candidate in the election and extended support as an allied partner to Kujur. He said the major issue to decide this election will be recent allegations levelled on this government.
Marandi echoed the same saying that the party will contest the election strongly and raise the issue of corruption.
BJP state president Prakash said apart from corruption, the development issue of dynastic politics will also be raised in the election as the Congres instead of selecting any one of its old and senior party workers in the assembly constituency has chosen the daughter of Bandhu Turkey ignoring its old party workers.
