Ranchi, Sept.7: Tuesday is understood to be special for Lord Hanuman and this was reflected today inside and outside the state assembly when the BJP legislators readout Hanuman Chalisa applying sandal on their forehead during the question hour on the third day of the monsoon session.
The action of the BJP legislators attracted the attention of Speaker Rabindranath Mahto who suggested them to consult a priest to know the correct way to read out Hanuman Chalisa.
“Hanuman Chalisa Ka Majak Mat Kijiye….Kisi Pundit Se puchiye ise kaisa padha jaata hai,” Speaker Mahto, who was disturbed with the way BJP legislator Bhanu Pratap Shahi was reading the Hanuman Chalisa in the well of the House.
Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari supported the speaker as this was disturbing the question hour and creating hurdles in bringing the house in order. “In logon ko samjhaye mahoday ye tarika nahi hai,” he was heard saying.
Khunti MLA and a BJP legislator Neelkanth Singh Munda asked the speaker not to continue question hour till the house comes in order. On which, the speaker sought his help and Munda assured help only when a discussion on the unemployment issue started in the House.
Amid Hanuman Chalisa chants several matters were raised in the House and the reply of the government also came in those matters.
Independent MLA Saryu Roy raised the issue of corruption in making payment to singer Sunidhi Chauhan for staging a programme on the statehood day in Jharkhand during the Raghubar Das regime in 2016. Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured that if there is any corruption it will be probed.
Mandar MLA Bandhu Tirkey raised the issue of the removal of the dumping yard of Hindalco. On which reply came from the government that removal work will be completed soon.
Replying to a question raised by Irfan Ansari demanded a community health centre in Jamtara, Health Minister Banna Gupta said that a decision on the matter will be taken on the basis of a report from the deputy commissioner of the district.
