BJP demands Nawab Malik’s resignation after ED arrest, warns of protest

Mumbai, Feb 23: Following the arrest of Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai, state BJP chairman Chandrakant Patil demanded Malik’s resignation.

While talking to the media, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil said, “Nawab Malik has been arrested, he should resign now. We demand his resignation. If he doesn’t, we will protest.”

“How are they running the govt? There’s a long list of allegations against Maharashtra Ministers, will get tired reading it,” he added.

On Wednesday afternoon, the NCP leader was interrogated for over eight hours after which the NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik was arrested in connection with a money laundering case linked to Dawood Ibrahim
