Ranchi, Jan.31: After the attack in Bokaro during the movement of Jharkhandi Bhasha Sangharsh Samiti, former MP Ravindra Rai has become offensive against the state government.

In a press conference at the state BJP headquarters in Harmu today, former state minister Rai said that during the attack he visualized a scene of mob lynching and somehow managed to save his life. He said his bodyguards were in trouble and somehow saved his life by running into the police station.

Rai said that the incident showed how people are being cheated through power by spreading darkness in the political corridors of Jharkhand.

“After the formation of Jharkhand, the first attempt was made to create tension in Bokaro itself and then an attempt was made to break the social fabric on Sunday. Hundreds of miscreants were on the streets in the name of the movement of Jharkhandi Bhasha Sangharsh Samiti,” Rai added.

Rai said the movement was well organized and being monitored by think tanks from behind.

“Hundreds of women with their children were on the streets and hundreds of rowdy youths were present in human chains. People in big numbers were on the streets and the police were sitting quietly in the police station. This exposed the dual policy of the government which at one hand instigates the protesters for agitation while on the other hand, it is allowing the administration to rest,” Rai said.

Holding the government responsible for the attack on him, he said the JMM and Congress government cannot run away from taking responsibility for the incident. “Somewhere behind these incidents, there was the patronage of the state government. The Government is trying to divert Jharkhand from the basic issues. Four districts of the state including Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ranchi and Jamshedpur are at the mouth of the political volcano and efforts are being made to make the volcano active,” he said.
