New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday at the Parliament House complex, urged alliance MPs to shift full focus toward the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. He said that after the victory in Bihar, “now it is Bengal’s turn,” and called for preparations to begin without losing time.
PM Modi Credits Bihar Win To Alliance Unity, Calls For Bengal Repeat
Before the meeting began, NDA MPs congratulated the Prime Minister on the historic victory in the Bihar Assembly election. JDU leader Sanjay Jha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha honoured Modi by presenting him with a garland. In his address, the Prime Minister called the Bihar mandate a result of the NDA’s unity and strong leadership, praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as the key architect of the victory. He urged MPs to replicate the “Bihar model” in West Bengal and strengthen the wave of political change in the state.
“Big Victory Comes With Big Responsibility,” PM Advises MPs
PM Modi warned MPs that electoral success should increase responsibility rather than comfort. He instructed all NDA parliamentarians to remain highly active in their constituencies, engage directly with people, and ensure that Central government schemes reach citizens effectively. Stressing organisational discipline and public connect, he declared that the momentum from Bihar has “doubled NDA’s energy” and should now be directed toward ensuring victory in West Bengal in 2026.
