Kurnool, April 17: Neeraja Reddy, a former MLA and BJP representative for Kurnool’s Aluru, passed away in a car accident on Sunday.
She was travelling from Hyderabad to Kurnool when a tyre of her car burst at Beechupally in Telangana, causing it to overturn.
Reddy passed away at Sri Chakra Hospital from her wounds.
Reddy was a well-known politician in the state after being elected as an MLA with the Indian National Congress (INC) in 2009.
But in 2011, she left the party and stopped engaging in politics. In 2019, she subsequently joined the YSRCP. She eventually left the party nevertheless and joined BJP.
