Ranchi, May 7: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash wants the enforcement directorate (ED) to increase its ambit of investigation.

He made this clear during a press conference organized a day after ED recovered crores of crores from more than 20 locations of the principal secretary of three departments of Jharkhand, Pooja Singhal, and her close associates across the country.

Prakash said the entire tenure of the principal secretary having charges of mining, industry and agriculture department in Jharkhand should be probed. Apart from the principal secretary, the ED should also take care of the office of the chief minister as the CM holds the mines department.

The MP further said that it is ridiculous on the part of the chief minister who came to the rescue of the principal secretary, whose locations across the country were raided by ED to recover tunes of crores in cash and documents of property worth Rs 150 crore.

Rajya Sabha member Prakash said the ED raid reflects the commitment of the BJP government to fight against corruption. BJP is committed to rooting out Bhookh, Bhay and Bhrashtachar and yesterday’s ED action is a reflection of its zero tolerance for corruption, Prakash said.

Taking a dig at the congress on the occasion Prakash said: “Whenever JMM forms a government with the support of Congress, corruption rises in the state.”
