Ranchi, May 7: The Central Sarna Committee of Jharkhand is yet to take back the FIR against actress Rakhi Sawant even though the latter has apologized for her remark on the ‘tribal look’.
The station in-charge at ST/SC Police Station, Ranchi has informed lagatar24.com that the committee has not yet taken back their FIR against Rakhi Sawant.
“As per the condition, they said that they will take back the FIR once she apologises for her remarks. Despite the apology, they have not yet informed us whether they want to take back their complaint or not. We are currently investigating as per the procedure,” the station in-charge added.
Sawant uploaded a video on her social media platform on April 14 wherein she was seen making fun of the tribal community. In the video she was wearing an exposing dress and said ‘This is Guys, are you looking at my new look…Today, and it’s a tribal look.’
The Bollywood actress soon apologized for her remark and said that she made the comments mistakenly as she didn’t have a better word to describe her look.
She further added that her upcoming music video will see her play the role of a tribal girl from Africa.
She added that she had described her look as a ‘tribal look’ and could not think of a Hindi alternative, hence called it an ‘Adivasi look’.
