Ranchi, Dec 27: The BJP leaders today termed the two-year tenure of the Hemant government as a tragedy for the state. Expressing dissatisfaction over the two-year tenure of the Hemant government, the BJP staged a sit-in in the entire state and did ‘havan’ in support of the protest.
BJP State president Deepak Prakash after the ‘Havan’ said that rapes, atrocities on tribals, farmers’ suffering, youth’s problem, appeasement, anti-development mindset and all anti-people policies of the state in Jharkhand got burnt into the ‘Havan’.
“There has been a directionless and opportunistic government in the state for two years and the state has seen anarchy, misgovernance, corruption and inefficient governance. The government has attacked the interests of youth, farmers, women and tribals. The failure of the government has been seen a lot even in the Corona period,” Prakash said.
BJP MLA Babulal Marandi said that the state government has not been able to do even a single development work in two years and has just kept on pretending that the treasury was empty.
“The government has not been able to run the schemes of the Centre smoothly and is only patting its back by running programmes for ‘Aapke Adhikar Aapki Sarkar Apace Dwar’, but in reality, it is a government that weakens the panchayats,” Marandi said.
“Till now the Panchayat elections have not been conducted and it is proof that the government is weakening the panchayats,” Marandi added.
