Ranchi, Aug.17: The BJP today chalked out a strategy with its senior office bearers to intensify its agitation against anti-people policies of the Hemant Soren government at party state headquarters in Harmu.

As a part of the agitation, the party planned to form a human chain at 264 blocks across the state on August 21 and mount pressure on the state government to work properly. In order to make the programme successful, the party apart from its grass root level has given a call to para teachers, retrenched contract labourers, home guard jawans, panchayat sevaks besides others to extend their support to the programme.

Earlier addressing the office bearers, party state president Deepak Prakash said the party workers can not be mute spectators when minerals are being looted; law and order are deteriorating; unemployed are running from pillar to post for jobs; youths are being beaten by stick; farmers are facing problem in getting their due and women becoming a victim of sexual exploitation.

Prakash said despite being in opposition, people have full faith in the BJP and the party wants to maintain it.

Former chief minister and BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi said that time has come to hit the road. He said the people are in a mood to teach lessons to the state government which is running in an autocratic manner.  He said people have faith in the BJP as it has formed the state.

State organising secretary Dharampal Singh asked party workers to pay proper attention to three organisational campaigns including covid immunisation programme, the vigilance of PDS system through which 5kg free food grains are being given to the poor by Modi government and health volunteers reaching out to each house.
