Rohtak: Ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections on October 5, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto, promising a wide range of benefits focusing on jobs, welfare, and infrastructure. Union Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda unveiled the manifesto, titled ‘Sankalp Patra,’ in Rohtak. The party pledged to create permanent jobs for ex-Agniveers and assured farmers of procurement for 24 crops at the declared Minimum Support Price (MSP).

The manifesto outlines 20 key promises aimed at addressing employment, economic development, and healthcare. Under the Laado Laxmi Yojana, BJP has promised to provide ₹2,100 per month to all women, enhancing their financial independence. Additionally, the manifesto guarantees the creation of 10 industrial cities, which are expected to generate employment for 50,000 locals in each city.

Major Employment Promises:

  • Permanent jobs for ex-Agniveers who served in the armed forces.
  • Guaranteed government jobs for 2 lakh local residents.
  • Employment opportunities for 5 lakh individuals under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

MSP and Farmers’ Welfare:
The party pledged to procure 24 crops at MSP, providing much-needed support to the state’s farmers. This is seen as an effort to address the concerns of the agricultural community, a key voter base in Haryana.

Healthcare Initiatives:

  • The Chirayu-Ayushman Yojana will offer free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh for each family, with an additional ₹5 lakh coverage for senior citizens above 70 years.
  • Free dialysis services in government hospitals and free diagnosis at all hospitals in the state.

Women and Education:
The manifesto also includes promises targeted at women and education, including:

  • Awal Balika Yojana, which aims to provide scooters to female college students in rural areas.
  • Affordable LPG cylinders under the Har Ghar Grihani Yojana, offering cylinders for ₹500.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state BJP Chief Mohan Lal Badoli were present at the manifesto release event.

With the voting scheduled on October 5 and the results to be announced on October 8, BJP’s promises reflect a broad approach to attract voters through welfare schemes, employment generation, and strong infrastructure development.
