Ranchi, Oct 19: In the field of searching for new ways to offload the burden of pending cases on the courts, Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bokaro Divya Mishra besides her service published her PhD thesis on “Interrogating New Ways for Off Loading Pending Cases in Courts: An issue of Judicial Reforms”.

In the thesis, she has analysed the different methods followed in other countries and accumulated the views and opinions of eminent jurists and other stakeholders to curb out the problem of pilling of cases in the courts. She has tried to find out different loopholes in the system which can be plugged with appropriate measures.

The research could be done after the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court gave her permission to pursue her PhD thesis and Justice Anant Bijay Singh, Justice D P Singh and senior advocate of Allahabad High Court Manik Sinha provided their distinctive views for the research paper.

Apart from this during the pandemic when everything went online she got the opportunity to complete the research work other than this her personal experience helped a lot.

Divya completed her LLB and LLM from the University of Lucknow. She also completed her M.phil in Centre for the study of Law and Governance from JNU and qualified UGC NET in 2010 and further joined the service in 2011.
