Bokaro: Public hands ATM break-in perpetrator to police

Bokaro, Oct 15: People caught a miscreant who was trying to break the ATM (HDFC Bank) installed on the main road near Bari Cooperative Colony Ambram City in Sector-12 police station area of the city with a crowbar and handed him over to the police. The arrested accused Parvez Alam is a resident of Gaush Nagar of the Balidih police station area.

On October 14, at around 11 pm, he was breaking the ATM with a crowbar. At the same time, a person named Ravi Roshan Kumar, who was passing by, saw that a young man was damaging the ATM. He caught the young man and informed the local people.

People dialled 100 and gave this information to the police. As soon as the information was received, the police of Sector 12 police station reached there and took the accused to the police station.

Before the police arrived, the people had given him a beating. He was apologizing to the people and saying that he had come to withdraw two hundred rupees. However, when the money did not come out, he attempted to break the machine with a crowbar. But the people handed him over to the police.

The station in-charge, Dulad Chaure, stated that the accused will be sent to jail and other members of his gang are being traced.
