New Delhi, Dec 25: Seven lakh people are without electricity and at least 17 people have perished as a result of the Christmas mayhem that the cyclone bomb caused in the United States. Just a few days before Christmas, extreme weather across the nation has disrupted households and holiday plans.

The New York Post claimed that thousands of airline customers were stranded on Saturday across the nation due to a severe winter storm.

The storm, which has been called the worst in decades, has interfered with millions of Americans’ travel plans.

Travelers experienced delays and cancellations during one of the busiest times of the year due to weather-related travel disruptions. According to flight tracking website FlightAware, 5,934 flights were cancelled on Friday after roughly 2,700 cancellations on Thursday, according to CNN.

More than 240 million Americans were subject to a winter weather advisory, according to the National Weather Service.

According to Reuters, local governments throughout the nation opened warming centres in libraries and police stations as they rushed to extend temporary housing for the homeless as a result of the harsh winter weather.
