New Delhi: Panic gripped the national capital on Monday morning after nine schools received bomb threat emails, along with a chilling message claiming a bomb would detonate in Parliament at 1:11 PM on February 13.
Terror Group Claims Responsibility
The emails were allegedly sent in the name of the “Khalistan National Army,” threatening to turn Delhi into “Khalistan” in memory of Afzal Guru. The message stated, “On February 13 at 1:11 PM, there will be a blast in Parliament. Punjab is Khalistan.” The threats also referenced the execution date of Afzal Guru, who was hanged on February 9, 2013, and the Parliament attack of December 13, 2001.
Security Forces Launch Sweeping Search
Following the threats, Delhi Police, fire services, bomb disposal units, and dog squads rushed to the affected schools. Emergency calls flooded the Delhi Fire Service from different schools early in the day. Students and staff were swiftly evacuated as security teams began intensive searches. No suspicious objects were found during the operation, and officials have confirmed that investigations are underway to trace the source of the threatening emails.
