Ramgarh, Sept 3: A one-day Career Counselling-cum-Motivational Programme under the aegis of Azadi ka Amril Mahotsav was organised at DAV Hazaribagh on Saturday where BSF officials guided the students on how to pursue their careers properly.

The session was inaugurated jointly by IG of BSF, Meru, P S Bains, Deputy Commandant H K Pathak and Principal of DAV Public School Hazaribagh Ashok Kumar. The programme was meant for Senior Secondary students who wish to opt for their career in NDA, Army, Navy and other forces.

The Principal of the school said that present youths are full of bubbling enthusiasm to serve the nation. But sometimes, in the absence of proper knowledge and awareness, they are unable to pursue their career properly.

IG PS Bains said that the nation needs youths’ services. Keeping it in view, the government has brought the Agnipath scheme through which Agniveers are being recruited.

Regarding preparation for NDA and Defence services, he suggested the students get a good command of the English language, Mathematics, General Science and General Knowledge.

Deputy Commandant H K Pathak focused on discipline, proper routine, the practice of question sets and reading English Newspapers. He also appealed to the students to create awareness among their neighbours regarding the harms of drug addiction and other intoxicating items.

The students also asked questions regarding preparation for BSF commissioned posts and other competitions organized by the Department of Defence.

The programme was anchored by Ananya Mukhopadhyay and a vote of thanks was given by Manoj Khandelwal.
