BSS Mahila College Mehndi contest: Sweta emerges as best designer

Dhanbad, Sept 16: History honours semester-3 student Sweta Kumari Chouhan was declared the best Mehndi designer student of Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS) Mahila College Dhanbad.

In a competition organized by the college’s NSS department, 50 students of the institution participated and showcased their design skills and imagination on the palms of teachers and students.

3rd-semester student Sweta Kumari Chouhan was adjudged the best Mehndi designer while  Chhaya Kumari and Mahi got second and third positions respectively in the competition which was the first time organized in the college.

Senior faculty members Dr. Ram Kumar Sharma, HoD commerce, Dr. Dilip Kumar Sinha, history department cum  NSS programme officer of the college, and Dr. Prem Kumar,  sociology department were jury members of the competition.

On the occasion, principal of the college Dr Karuna was the chief guest and gave trophy ( prizes) to successful participants. She highly praised the students for showing their design art in the competition which became popular day by day.

Dr Usha Sharma, Dr Meena Sharma, Dr Sushma Mishra, and Gauri Shankar Pandey guided the competition and made it a successful event.
