Bali, Dec5: India’s two-time Olympic medalist and star shuttler, P V Sindhu on Sunday lost the final of the BWF World Tour Finals to South Korea’s An Se-young in the summit clash.

Seyoung defeated Sindhu by 21-16 ,21-12 in the final match that lasted for 39 minutes.

In the first game, the South Korea shuttler got a 4-0 lead, but Sidhu was able to raise her game and the game was locked at 7-4 in the favour of Seyoung. She charged on with her momentum and in the end, defeated Sindhu in straight games to win the tournament.

Notably on Saturday, the Indian shuttler Sindhu had battled past Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi into the final of the tournament. Sidhu had won the title three years back in 2018 and this match will be her third final appearance in the season-ending tournament. Sindhu is the reigning world champion and the two time Olympic medalist and will enter as a favourite for the title win.
