Ramgarh, May 30: Krishna Tudu, a local resident of the West Bokaro area, Karmatiya, Bunji, Mandu joined the Tata Steel West Bokaro Division, as a feeder centre cadet in the year 2018 when he was 10 years old. He was selected as a cadet at Tata Football Academy, Jamshedpur on 15 December 2022 while receiving four years of training. His remarkable success is an example for the Football Feeder Centre of West Bokaro.
On his great success, Krishna Tudu said, “My journey started in 2018 from the feeder centre of Tata Steel West Bokaro Division, where I got full support from all the people of the sports department, my coach, sports in-charge of the department and other football gurus. Told a lot and after about four years I got selected in Tata Football Academy after a tough exam. My family supported me a lot in this journey of my success, they always encouraged me.”
Krishna’s brother, Lalit Tudu, was also interested in football and used to visit the feeder centre frequently, it was his inspiration that led Krishna to join the feeder centre.
Krishna’s father, Beni Ram Tudu, works on contract and has four brothers. Coming from an underprivileged community, Krishna is the youngest in the family. Krishna’s dream is to bring laurels to the state and the country in the field of football.
Many such achievements have been achieved by Feeder Center Football in the past as well. Shashi Keshari got selected in Tata Football Academy in 2012 and is currently the coach of the JSPL football team.
Om Prakash Bhokta, Phakodih got selected in Army Boys Academy, Jabalpur in 2011 and Anish Soren, Driver Hut, Indian Army got selected in 2015. Earlier also seven cadets have participated in Junior National.
The feeder centre of Tata Steel West Bokaro Division was established in 2007. Every year training is given in the field of Football, Archery and Athletics and 25 children are selected from the region. All necessary facilities related to nutritious food, training and sports are provided in the centre. The children of the centre have been selected by various institutions including Sports Authority of India, the Indian Army and Tata Football Academy.
