Kolkata, Aug 4: The Calcutta High Court on Thursday dismissed a plea by the arrested Jharkhand Congress MLAs to hand over the investigation to CBI in the cash seizure case. The court has instead allowed CID to continue the investigation in a fair and impartial manner.

Notably, the three arrested Jharkhand MLAs moved a petition in Calcutta High Court on Wednesday demanding a probe by CBI or any other independent agency, saying they feared that it would be a ‘politically motivated probe’ in Bengal.
