Deoghar, Aug 8: Two miscreants snatched a money bag having Rs 2,87,000 cash from a businessman while he was getting his vehicle repaired on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at Bazar Samiti locality under Kunda police station, where a similar cash snatching incident took place on July 28.

Businessman Sandeep Barnwal, a resident of Mavgadiya village under Chakai police station of Jamui district in neighbouring Bihar state, was getting his vehicle repaired near the Bazar Samitti at around 2pm when the incident took place.

Suddenly a bike came near him with two people on it and fled away with money bag. The driver was wearing a helmet and the person who snatched the bag had a mask on his face.

The businessman said that the bag had Rs 2,87,000.

On July 28, a local resident was looted when he was coming after withdrawing cash from the SBI branch at the gate of Bazar Samiti. The snatcher in the earlier case is yet to be arrested.
