Ranchi, Aug.8: Around 10,000 students who scored 80 percent or above in ICSE, CBSE and JAC matriculation and intermediate examinations were rewarded today at a state-level student talent award ceremony organized by the Private School and Children Welfare Association (PASWA) at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium in Khelgaon.
State finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, Padma Shri Mukund Nayak, PASWA National President Syed Shamayel Ahmed and State President Alok Kumar Dubey were present on the occasion.
Finance minister Oraon said that the purpose of this programme was to honour and encourage such talented students who could not become toppers but they also have hidden talent and they have potential to set new records in the future.
PASWA national president Shamail Ahmed said that within a year under the leadership of State President Alok Kumar Dubey, the organization has raised the voice of students, parents and teachers and private school operators in the direction of improving the quality of education.
PASWA state president Dubey claimed that for the first time in the 22 years of the formation of the separate Jharkhand state, such a large-scale state level function was organized to honour the students, possibly this would be the biggest event across the country to honor the students.
