New Delhi, Aug 9: TMC Birbhum district president Anubrata Mondal summoned by CBI in connection with cattle smuggling case. He has been asked to appear before the CBI tomorrow on 10th August, at their office at Nizam Palace, Kolkata.
Notably, he had skipped meeting CBI officers on Monday citing health reasons and went to a government hospital. The CBI would be calling the president of TMC Birbhum for the tenth time in relation to the fraud.
The last time the central investigation agency had requested that Mondal, the president of the TMC’s Birbhum district, appear before it was on August 5. However, he had sent an email on Sunday stating that he would be unable to attend owing to a medical exam.
Doctors at the government-run SSKM Hospital determined that Mondal did not need to be hospitalised and that he has a number of chronic illnesses, so he departed for his Bolpur home on Monday night.
On Monday evening, two CBI agents went to Mondal’s Chinar Park home in the city, but the TMC leader had already left for Bolpur.
