Ranchi, Jan 11: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, will begin the annual board exams on February 15, 2023. With less than a month left for the board exams, students of Class 10 are preparing for Maths way before needed as it is one of those subjects which can be either the most scoring or the toughest. Therefore, organising a proper schedule and strategising topics will eventually assist students in scoring full marks in Mathematics.
For the help of the students, Champ Square teacher Vikas Gupta shares some topics, chapters, marking schemes, and tips to come out with flying colours.

TIPS FOR BASIC AND STANDARD MATHS
For basic mathematics, formulas should be learned and comprehended by heart to score the best. Also, practicing the NCERT questions and mock tests can lead to the road to success. Primarily, students should possess a basic knowledge of mathematical operations and practice learning and writing theorems of Geometry chapters.
Students should also make sure that they solve mock tests within the given time period. This will help them work on their speed and writing skills along with managing a biological clock for their work.
For standards mathematics, the emphasis should be on the application of formulas and an imperative need to constantly practice extra questions from the reference books.
Students should focus on competency-based questions and higher-order thinking skills questions. Students should also practice memorising squares and cubes of natural numbers up to 30 and learn easy and fast calculations. Further, getting used to the tricks of Vedic mathematics will be advantageous.
There should always be clarity on fundamental mathematical operations like the BODMAS (bracket, of, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction).
Students should always have a clear concept of the mathematical basics. Tables up to 20 should be a basic knowledge base for students appearing for the 10th class board exams. The routine practice of all mathematical formulas in writing is always advisable. Students should assess topics in the form of an examination.
