Chatra, March 24: The body of Central Coalfields Limited employee Sanjay Kumar was found on a track in Godwar village under Tandwa police station on Friday morning. Tandwa sub-divisional police officer Shambhu Kumar Singh confirmed this as a case of murder and said they are waiting for a postmortem report to know how he was killed.
Sources said Sanjay(40) was talking over the phone outside his home in Honhe village on Thursday evening when he went missing. Relatives searched for him but they failed to get any trace of him.
This morning, a body was seen on a railway track and Tandwa police were informed. Soon Sanjay’s relatives came there and identified the body.
Singh told Lagatar24.com that this case has many angles which need proper investigation. He said prima facie is that Sanjay was murdered somewhere else and his body dumped here. It’s difficult to say how he was killed as his body got mutilated due to passing trains. Police are waiting for the postmortem report to carry on the investigation further.
Singh said Sanjay was also a land broker and was facing a murder case registered at Katkamdag police station of Hazaribag. We are working on various angles to crack this case, he added. Sanjay’s clothes were found a few meters away from the body.
