Ramgarh, July 16: Two armed miscreants fired two bullets at a CCL employee, Ashish Kumar Banerjee, in the Rajrappa police station area of the district on Sunday afternoon.
Banerjee was shot by two criminals who arrived on a bike around 2 pm near the Sarna site of the residential colony of CCL Rajrappa under the Rajrappa police station area of the district. The criminals who came on the bike shot and escaped comfortably. Immediately the people around informed the police about the incident. Police brought Ashish Kumar Banerjee in injured condition to Silver Jubilee Hospital in the CCL Rajrappa area. After that, he was brought to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital. CCL worker Ashish Kumar Banerjee has been shot twice.
SDPO Kishore Kumar Rajak from Ramgarh reached the spot. They have started an investigation to determine why did the criminals shot Ashish Kumar Banerjee. The police are trying to find out about it. The checking of two-wheelers has been intensified to nab the same criminals.
