Ranchi, Aug. 8: Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s statue, installed by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), was unveiled at the Ranchi Airport today.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto, Sanjay Seth, Aditya Sahu, Mahua Maji (all MPs), Coal India Limited (CIL) Chairman P.M. Prasad, and CCL CMD Dr. B. Veera Reddy among others.
Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a legendary freedom fighter and social reformer, continues to be a source of inspiration for generations. His contributions to the struggle for tribal rights and social justice have left an indelible mark on the history of India. The newly unveiled statue at Ranchi Airport serves as a lasting tribute to his legacy and an embodiment of his enduring spirit.
Speaking at the ceremony, the CIL Chairman expressed his gratitude to all those who attended the event. He stated, “Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s life and ideals continue to guide us in our commitment to fulfil the energy demands of the nation through sustainable mining practices. This statue symbolizes our reverence for his principles, he added.
The CCL CMD stated that the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us of the need for unity, social justice, and progress.
