Raipur, March 15: Five workers were found dead at a brick kiln at Gadhphuljhar in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district on Wednesday. Police said that they are suspected to have died of suffocation after inhaling smoke.
The labourers are residents of Gadhphulajhar village in the Mahasamund district. According to the sources, the incident occurred when the workers were sleeping on some of the bricks that they had created.
Investigation going on, further information awaited.
Meanwhile, Cief Minister Bhupesh Baghel condoles the demises of the workers and announced Rs 2 Lakhs each as compensation for their kins.
