Chhattisgarh: Security forces gun down 2 women naxals in Dantewada

Dantewada, Dec.18: Security personnel have taken down two female Maoists in an encounter in the Dantewada woods late Saturday morning, according to Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallav.

A firefight broke out between Dantewada DRG and Maoists in Gonderas jungle, which falls within the jurisdiction of Aranpur police station in Dantewada district, about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The bodies of two female Maoist cadres were discovered during the search efforts, according to the SP.

Hidme Kohrame, one of the two killed Maoists, had a Rs 5 lakh reward on her head, while Pojje had a Rs 1 lakh reward on her.

They were found with three locally manufactured guns, ammo, communication devices, and explosive materials, Pallav informed, adding that a search operation is ongoing for absconding or injured Maoists.
