Dantewada, Sept 20: In a gunfight with District Reserve Guards (DRG) on Wednesday in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada, two female Naxalites were killed, officials stated.

On the basis of information about the presence of senior Darbha Divisional cadres close to the Nagaram-Poro Hirma forests along the Dantewada-Sukma Interdistrict border, Dantewada DRG teams were reportedly launched from Nahadi Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) base, officials stated.

Maoists and Dantewada DRG engaged in an exchange of gunfire at about 7:00 in the morning, IG Bastar P Sundarraj stated.

Two female Naxal cadres’ dead bodies, as well as one INSAS gun and one 12-bore rifle, were found during the search of the area, the official added.
