Patna: Makar Sankranti celebrations in Bihar are often intertwined with political drama, and this year was no exception. The political temperature soared after Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan hosted a traditional Chhuda-Dahi Bhoj at the party office but left Chief Minister Nitish Kumar waiting. Nitish, invited as the chief guest, arrived at the event, but Chirag was conspicuously absent, leading to heated political discussions across the state.

When Nitish Kumar arrived at the LJP office, he was received by party leaders and paid tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan. However, after waiting for Chirag, who was not present, the Chief Minister left without partaking in the meal.

Early Arrival Sparks Chaos

Sources reveal that Nitish Kumar was scheduled to arrive at the LJP office at 12 PM but reached unexpectedly early at 10:20 AM. This caught the party workers off guard as they were still making arrangements. Chirag Paswan, adhering to the original schedule, arrived at the office around 12 PM, only to find that the Chief Minister had already left.

Opposition Criticizes NDA

The incident has provided fodder for the opposition, which wasted no time in targeting both Nitish Kumar and Chirag Paswan. Critics have called it a reflection of disorganization within the NDA and questioned the political coordination between its leaders.

This unexpected turn of events during a traditional festivity has added a fresh twist to Bihar’s ever-dynamic political narrative.
