Hazaribag, June 22: Pradeep Gupta, Virendra Gupta and Saput Gupta decided not to spend money on the ‘Shraddh’ of their father but to use the amount for some noble cause. So, the trio used the amount to get a deep boring done in the Muktidham crematorium which is now benefiting those coming for the last rites of their relatives.
Pradeep Gupta is a member of the Gayatri family and resident of Narcha Khurd under Chauparan block, which is 65 km away from Hazaribag. After the death of their father Baijnath Sao, the trio decided not to have a feast in the Shraddh ceremony, instead, they agreed to get boring done in the cremation ground and install a hand pump.
Trio brothers said now no one will have a water problem in the cremation ground. They said every day a large number of people come here who were facing water problems here. In view of this, the three brothers decided for deep boring and a handpump. “Organising feast on my father’s Shraddh was a waste of money and now this handpump will make us remember our father who was always in favour of such good works,” added Pradeep. The family refused to confirm how much amount they spent on this work.
Villagers praised the three brothers for this noble work. “What they did is an example for us”. Instead of wasting money in Shraddh, they used the amount for a good cause,” added Subodh Kumar, a local resident.
