Ramgarh, July 18: ATS DSP Neeraj Kumar, who went to arrest a shooter of jailed criminal Aman Sahu’s gang in Patratu, was shot at by the criminals last night. The incident took place on Monday night at Terpa located in the Patratu police station area of Ramgarh district.
A team of policemen posted in Ramgarh district reached the spot today and conducted a thorough investigation. A 6-member team of the CID from Ranchi also reached the spot under the leadership of DSP JVN Chowdhary. A DSP and five police inspector-level officers are engaged in the complete investigation of the case. The CID team is sketching and drawing the entire incident at the spot.
The police team has detained three criminals, who are being interrogated at a secret place.
According to the information, the team under the leadership of ATS DSP Neeraj Kumar had gone to arrest the shooter belonging to the Aman Sahu gang. During this, the criminals fired indiscriminately on the ATS team. Neeraj Kumar was seriously injured. At the same time, in this incident, SI Sonu Sao was shot at in the thigh. Neeraj Kumar has been shot at in the stomach. He had been admitted to Medica in critical condition.
