CIP invites applications for 14 posts of Senior Resident

Ranchi, May 17: The Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) has invited applications for the post of Senior Resident in the departments of Neurology, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology and Neurosurgery for a total of 14 posts.

Desirous candidates fulfilling the qualification may appear for a walk-in-interview with their application in the prescribed format giving full details of academic records and experience along with original and attested photocopies of the relevant documents with recent photograph on June 8, 2022, at 9:30 am at the institute premises.

Available posts include eight posts in Psychiatry including three unreserved posts along with one for ST, OBC and EWS and two for SC categories reserved vertically while one is reserved horizontally for PH 1; three posts in Neurology of which one post each is reserved for SC, OBC and EWS. On the other hand, Anesthesiology has one post available while Neurosurgery – has two, both of which are for the un-reserved category.

Candidates may expect a pay scale of Matrix Level-11 that is Rs 67,700 along with other allowances as per government rules. Even though the age limit is set at 40 years, the above age limit is relaxable up to five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates.

This will further be relaxed to 10 years for persons with disabilities, 15 years for SC/ST persons with disabilities and 13 years for OBC persons with disabilities. Meanwhile, in the case of Armed Forces candidates and widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not married, the age relaxation will be given as per the instruction of the central government at the time.

Photocopies of certificates of educational qualifications, experiences, registration etc. must be attached with the application while the institute reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason.

The institute also warns that the number of Senior Resident posts may vary and notes that no TA/ DA will be paid for the interview.
