Ranchi, Mar 17: The emergency department at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science once again had a scuffle between the patient’s family members and the security personnel of RIMS on Thursday.
According to the information received, the BSF soldier had reached RIMS after the problem of pain in his relative’s stomach. Meanwhile, the said person was adamant on the insistence of referring the patient to the private hospital by RIMS. On which, RIMS personnel said that they do not have the right to refer them to a private hospital.
RIMS security personnel said that the BSF soldier was adamant on the insistence of getting the patient treated with the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
On this, the security personnel explained to the soldier that until the patient is not admitted to RIMS, treatment under Ayushman is not possible. After which the matter progressed and there was a scuffle between the security personnel of RIMS and the BSF personnel.
After getting information about the uproar, apart from the private security personnel posted at RIMS, the SAP soldiers and Bariatu TOP police pacified the matter by explaining it to the BSF soldier. However, in the meantime, the atmosphere of chaos prevailed for some time in the RIMS Emergency department.
