Dhanbad , Dec 2: A class VI student identified as Rohit Kishku (13) of Upgraded Primary School Rakodih under Jasidih police station of Deoghar district died in the classroom on Thursday.
The report reaching Deoghar district headquarters said Kishku all of sudden fell unconscious in the classroom and phlegm began coming out from his mouth. Principal Baby Ray immediately got him admitted to Community Health Centre (CHC) Jasidih where the doctor declared him dead.
The CHC doctor Dr Renu Sinha told media persons that the student was brought dead at hospital. However, students of Rakodih upgraded primary school alleged carelessness of doctors of CHC in attending Rohit Kishku and created chaos.
Inspector cum officer in-charge of Jasidih police station Vikram Pratap Singh, who reached the hospital said that the reason of death could be said only after getting a post-mortem report.
After getting information Deoghar sadar MLA Narayan Das also reached the hospital and assured financial help to the victim family. He said a probe would be set up over the sudden death of a tribal boy in the classroom of school.
Family members expressed surprise over death saying that his condition was healthy as he had gone to school from his village Vanbaria walking and fell unconscious after some time in the classroom.
