Jamshedpur, April 3: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of clear and dry weather in Jharkhand on Monday.
Weathermen said a partly cloudy sky is expected in the afternoon and evening at a few isolated places but they ruled out the possibility of thunderstorm and rain.
“No alerts have been issued in Jharkhand today as the weather is expected to be dry and clear with the rising trend in maximum temperature,” said a duty officer at Ranchi Met Centre.
A Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies was hovering with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
Met statistics revealed that light to moderate rain with thunderstorm occurred at a few isolated places over the state during the last 24 hours.
The highest rainfall recorded was 43 mm at Bokaro. The highest maximum temperature of 33.6°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 16.6°C was recorded at Ranchi.
The forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday included a thunderstorm/ lightning accompanied with strong surface wind gusting up to 30-40 Kmph at a few isolated places especially south-eastern region.
