Ranchi, Nov 15: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched a flurry of schemes like free coaching to students, and distributed appointment letters and assets like cattle on the state’s 22nd Foundation Day at a function organized at Morabadi ground.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for 147 schemes worth Rs 5,433.24 crore and inaugurated 222 schemes worth Rs 1,876.34 crore. The total worth of the schemes announced and launched on the Foundation Day stood at Rs 7,309.58 crore.
Soren launched Jharkhand Electric Vehicle Policy 2022, Jharkhand Ethanol Production Promotion Policy 2022 and Jharkhand Industrial Park and Logistics Policy 2022. Along with these, the CM launched Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme, Eklavya Training Scheme and Chief Minister Education Promotion Scheme for the students.
Sarathi Yojana, under which youths will get free skill training, was also launched. Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme with the aim to provide financial assistance to farmers affected by drought was rolled out. Assets worth Rs 1,247.39 crore were distributed among 13,90,164 beneficiaries on the occasion. And, 609 assistant engineers, 320 nurses and 16 account officers got appointment letters in the ceremony.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and State Foundation Day, Hemant Soren launched the schemes for the progress and prosperity of the state and the people of the state “for the golden future of Jharkhand”.
Foundation laid for 147 schemes, inauguration of 222 schemes
Among the schemes for which the foundation stone was laid, 41 (amount Rs 1,718.64 crore) of Road Construction Department, 17 (Rs 931.31 crore) of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, four of Building Construction Department (Rs 261.34 crore), three of Water Resources Department (Rs 84.27 crore), 12 of Urban Development and Housing Department (Rs 1,658.86 crore), three (Rs 74.31 crore) of School Education and Literacy Department, one of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, Backward Classes and Welfare Department, 14 of Rural Affairs Department, Jharkhand Police Housing 16 of the corporation, 17 of agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative department, 14 of health department (Rs 517.65 crore) and 5 schemes of higher and technical education are included.
The schemes that were inaugurated include 43 of Road Construction Department, two of Water Resources Department, two of Building Construction Department, seven of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, 13 of Urban Development and Housing Department, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, Backward, seven of Class Welfare Department, 13 of Rural Affairs Department, 25 of Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation, six of Labor Planning, Training and Skill Development Department, eight of Health Department, 10 of Higher and Technical Education Department and 86 of School Education and Literacy Department plans are included.
