Jamshedpur, Dec 15: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday distributed assets, including agricultural equipment worth several lakhs during his visit to Chaibasa in neighbouring West Singhbhum district.
The mega asset distribution programme of Kolhan region took place at the Tata College ground in Chaibasa.
Several senior JMM leaders and legislators were present on the occasion.
The chief minister also took part in Kolhan division level event ” Aapke Adhikar, Aap ki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar, ” wherein he interacted with the members of the tribal community and learned about their problems.
The chief minister also launched a scheme SAHAY ( Sports Action towards Harnessing Aspiration of Youths ). The scheme will be implemented in Naxal affected districts.
The scheme worth Rs 10 crore will be implemented in Naxal- infested West Singhbhum, Seraikela- Kharsawan, Khunti, Simdega and Gumla.
The chief minister also gave away appointment letters and provided death claims to family members of those who fell victim to Covid -19.
Kolhan Commissioner Manoj Kumar and other senior district administrative officials were present.
Apart from security, necessary Covid protocols were followed during the chief minister’s visit to Chaibasa.
