Ranchi, Nov 15: The Jharkhand Government’s ambitious “Aapke Adhikar – Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” programme was launched on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda and Jharkhand State Foundation Day where Hemant Soren himself inaugurated the programme by offering flowers to the statue of Dharti Aba in Ulihatu, the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
During this, the CM did the historic work of giving land endowment leases to Sukhram Munda, a descendant of Birsa Munda and also started many welfare schemes in the interest of the people of the state.
The CM said that today the tribal community has been lagging behind educationally and socially, but the person among them is busy accelerating the development of the state.
“Today, green ration cards are being provided to 15 lakh needy deprived of ration cards in the state and the children of tribal society are going abroad to get higher education,” the CM said.
During this, he inaugurated 27 schemes worth Rs 111 crore and laid the foundation stone of 31 schemes. Citation letters were given to those who did better and appointment letters were given to newly appointed health workers. To benefit from the Universal Pension Scheme five beneficiaries symbolically submitted applications to the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister paved the way for self-employment by providing cheques to the beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme. The distribution of machines for agricultural work was also done among the farmers.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam, Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Tamar MLA Vikas Singh Munda, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Khunti DC, Khunti SP, Sukhram Munda, a descendant of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, rural and others were present on the occasion.
